Hot Hatha Yoga

A unique series of postures that combine the precision of therapeutic yoga and the foundations of traditional yoga in a specially heated room (40C, 40-50% humidity). The series is a cardiovascular workout, that loosens, strengthens, and tones the muscles, while calming the mind and reducing stress. The heat allows for deep safe stretching, and promotes detoxification of the skin, blood, and muscles through sweat. Classes are suitable for all levels.

Hot Flow Yoga

Hatha Flow is a sequence of traditional yoga poses, with an emphasis on linking breath to the flowing sequence. This practice builds balance, stretches muscles and connective tissues, open joints, and strengthens the body overall. Flow Yoga is practiced in a heated room that allows for welcomed release of stress from the physical body and mind. Suitable all levels, please advise us if you have injury or limitations on movement.

Hot Yang Yin Yoga

Curious or little intimidated about hot yoga? This is an excellent class for those looking to balance their energy and check out the yoga scene. Start off in a Yang (active) sequence of sun salutations, working up a sweat and allowing worries to literally melt away. Then shifting right into long held Yin poses on the mat to open and restore your connective tissues and calm the mind. The perfect sequence for our modern on the go lifestyle; when active and moving commit to it 110%, then release into calm floor poses to regenerate from the inside out. Great for all levels!

Yin Yoga (not heated)

Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with floor postures that are held for longer periods of time—for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one pose for five minutes or more. This aims to increase flexibility, open the connective tissues and joints and you leave the practice feeling very relaxed. Excellent for all levels (from seniors to athletes) to prevent injury, ease joint pain and balance the body.

Qigong ('Chi Gong' not heated)

Practiced in room temperature studio, excellent for beginners and all abilities. Qigong (Chi Gong) means energy work, at Hot Yoga Peterborough we practice the restorative series in our regular schedule to re-balance our physical, mental and emotional aspects. Tai Chi is a form of Qigong, so it is considered a martial art rather than yoga.

Chakra Flow Hot

Physically this class will take your through the 7 Chakras, getting into areas of the body that need to be opened, stimulated, and cleared of tension.  There will be information for you to give context to the poses, on a mental, physical, emotional and spiritual level.
